During the " Beyond Cyclone Idai " meeting in Mozambique we were planning, sharing & preparing on how we can reach the most affected by Cyclone Idai in Southern Africa. Now is the time to implement our desire to help. The Jesuits in Zambia - Malawi and Zimbabwe - Mozambique in Collaboration with many Lay people, Other Religious, Catholics & Non Catholics, Partners, Friends and Donors will work together to achieve the desire to become instruments of God's love to those who are the victims of the Cyclone Idai. We would like to invite you to join us so that with your help we will be able to touch the hearts & lives of many.
The Jesuit Rwanda - Burundi Province is hosting the Jesuit Development Officers of Africa and Madagascar (JEDOAM) meeting being held at the Jesuit Centre Christus in Kigali, Rwanda. Mr. Norbert Tembo the Community Mobilisation Coordinator and Ms. Mallah Phiri the Programs Officer of the Province Development Office are representing the Jesuit Zambia - Malawi Province. Thank you for the generous donations for the victims of Cyclone Idai in Malawi..
Mrs Mulenga Katongo Kaluba has donated various clothing items today at the Jesuit Development Office that were delivered by her brother after she heard about the request for supporting the Cyclone Idai Victims from our Facebook page here.The Communications Coordinator of the Jesuit Development Office received the donations on behalf of the Jesuit Zambia - Malawi Province. The donations will go towards supporting the Cyclone Idai Victims in Malawi. At the moment people whose houses were washed away are also desperate for food, blankets, clothing and cooking utensils. Others are desperately in need of temporary shelter. Some of the people whose grass thatched roofs were blown off by the wind have resorted to using plastic sheets to cover the damaged part of the roof so that they can keep themselves safe from the elements. These people will appreciate any help they can get and this kind of help will make a huge difference for them in Konzalendo.
The Jesuit Development Office of Zambia - Malawi Province has handed over various donated items to the Sisters of Charity for distribution in Malawi
The Sisters of Charity and Jesuits are Collaborating to respond to the needs of Victims of Cyclone Idai in Malawi. The Sisters of Charity will distribute the various donated items in Konzalendo Malawi. The Communications Coordinator of the Jesuit Development Office Zambia - Malawi Province handed over the various items to the Sisters of Charity who were represented by Sr. Marianne Doherty. The Italian School of Lusaka through it's community service programme reaches out to the vulnerable in the community. The Grade 10 students of Italian School of Lusaka took the initiative to appeal to the school community and collected clothes, shoes, other useful items and cash donations for those affected by Cyclone Idai. They heard about the works of the Jesuits and Collaborators towards seeking support for the Victims of Cyclone Idai and on 29 April 2019 they visited the Jesuit Development Office of Zambia - Malawi Province to hand over the various donations.

Management, Parents and Pupils of the Italian School of Lusaka have donated various Clothes, Food and Funds for the Victims of Cyclone Idai.
Mrs Soma Chakravorty joined by the Pupils handed over the donations to Fr. Tadeusz Swiderski S.J the Director of the Jesuit Development Office of Zambia - Malawi Province who was joined by the Team. The Donations will go towards assisting the Victims of Cyclone Idai in Malawi.
